Our team safely and efficiently removes hazardous, damaged, or unwanted trees while minimizing impact on your property and surrounding landscape.
Trees may require removal if they pose a hazard, are beyond recovery, or are causing harm to their surroundings. The following are all very good examples of when tree removal is necessary.
Diseased Trees
Trees can be infected by various viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens. Serious and untreatable pathogens, especially those that spread easily, will require the removal of affected trees. One of the more common reasons for tree removal is fungal infections that lead to wood decay. These infections significantly damage wood structure, compromising the tree’s ability to support heavy limbs and remain upright.
Damaged Trees
Storm damage can cause varying degrees of harm to tree branches and the main trunk. While a knowledgeable arborist may guide most trees back to good health if only smaller branches are damaged, removal becomes increasingly necessary if larger limbs are affected, especially when the main trunk's structure is compromised. Human-caused damage causing large areas of missing bark or deep wounds may not heal.
Site Related Conditions
Trees can become an issue warranting removal when they are in a poor location or when a tree species is unsuitable for its site.
Dead or Dying Trees
Trees often decline due to a combination of stressors occurring simultaneously and advance toward death. For example, a recent drought that made the tree susceptible to an insect/pest invasion, or a recent root cutting that allowed harmful fungal pathogens to enter. Other more well-known stressors causing tree mortality are lightning strikes, wind damage, and nearby construction activities.
Reach out to your arborist when you see signs of something wrong with your trees; some conditions are reversible if caught early.
Once we’ve determined tree removal is necessary, we’ll assess how to safely take the tree down. The tree’s location, and its relation to any potential obstacles, will need to be taken into account, as will the drop zone for felling. Can pieces of wood be dropped as they’re cut without damaging anything beneath the tree? Or is there valuable landscaping below that requires us to slowly lower the cut pieces by rope?
Dropping trees whole has its place when the situation is preferable. We much prefer the much safer method of piecing the tree down in smaller segments with the aid of our state of the art 60 ft. Arborist lift. This machine allows us unequaled access to your tree’s canopy allowing us to fully dictate the size and control of each cut piece.
Once the tree is down, debris removal begins. We’ll pick up and haul away all the debris. Being sure to rake the work area when we’re done, our mission here is to leave the work area as good if not better than we found it.
We practice safety in our every move. Always seeking the safest method to achieve results, protecting people and property is top priority. We invest in state-of-the-art equipment, proper PPE, and frequent employee training.
We have the appropriate insurance for your protection and ours. Proof of coverage is provided easily upon request.
